Workers
have started putting the finishing touches to the roof over the new Jack Doland
field house at the McNeese State athletic facility.
Project
architect Gayle Zembower said that in two to three weeks the roof work should
be complete. Latest to go up is
the galvanized steel support system.
Zembower said that the top side roof will be all metal in the McNeese
blue.
Zembower
also said that workers will soon begin closing the building in and once that is
done the effort on the inside of the field house will start.
The
two story eight million dollar facility is expected to be completed by June of
next year.
The
facility will house new locker rooms, a new weight room, meeting rooms and
offices as well as a seated covered area for football games. Also in the mix will be a McNeese Hall
of Fame room and ticket office. The building will have 32,000 square feet of
space.
