Alana Clark Earns District Academic All-American Honors

2009 District VI All-American Teams 2009 District VI All-American Teams

LAKE CHARLES- McNeese State junior midfielder Alana Clark has been named to the 2009 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN the Magazine Academic All- District VI Women's Soccer Team.  Three Academic All-District teams are chosen in each district.  Nominations and voting for the All-America programs are conducted by members of the CoSIDA.

Clark a native of Tucson, Az., has a 3.51 cumulative GPA in Health and Human Performance, was selected to the first team and will be placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. The first team honor is her first and she is the first soccer player named to the district's first team and the third soccer player named to the team. Other players named to the district team were Kamryn Koch, Justeen Lords and Brenna Abbitt.

The district VI university division is comprised of Division I schools from Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas and Mississippi.
