McNeese State's volleyball team will hit the road for its next three Southland Conference games beginning with a 7 p.m. match Thursday night at league leading Central Arkansas (23-3, 12-0 SLC. The Cowgirls enter the match with a 17-8 overall record and 5-6 in conference play.
The Cowgirls will make their way back down to Natchitoches Saturday for a 6 p.m. match against Northwestern State (2-18, 1-11 SLC).
The matches will be the second meeting of the season between both UCA and Northwestern State . The Cowgirls earned a split against both teams by defeating Northwestern State in straight sets and falling to UCA in four sets.
McNeese is currently in third place in the East division and sixth in the overall standings with two weeks left in the regular season.
McNeese leads the league in service aces with 152 for an average of 1.62 per set and are third in digs with 15.50 per set. Senior setter Sarah Cartie ranks second in the SLC with 9.74 assists per set and Whitney Ellisor ranks third with 0.35 service aces per set.
