McNeese State's women's basketball returns to action Monday night to host Texas College (0-3) at Burton Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. The action can be heard live on KJEF (1290 AM) radio. The Cowgirls will attempt to pick up their first win of the season after falling 62-53 to New Orleans in its season opener Saturday.

LSU-Eunice transfer Candace LaCombe came off the bench to lead the Cowgirls with 15 points and sophomore Kendra Wells led with 11 rebounds.

The Steers are coming off a 100-42 loss at Southland Conference member Texas State Friday night. Junior guard and team scoring leader British Thomas scored 13 points in the loss. Christina Miner led the Steers with 12 rebounds.
