McNeese State's track and field team will conduct a Blue-Gold intrasquad meet Thursday and Friday at the McNeese Cameron Communications Track.

            The meet will run from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday and from 1 pm.. to 2:40 p.m. on Friday.  Field events will be conducted for both the men and the women on Thursday and running events on Friday.

            Field events will be the pole vault, hammer, shot put, long jump, javelin and high jump.  Running events will be the 60 meter dash, 2000 meter run, 150 meter run, 300 meter run, 600 meter run, 60 meter hurdles and 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays.

            Athletes will be selecting their own events for the meet.  Assistant coach Jon Fagan will coach the Gold team and graduate assistant coach Desmond Brown will coach the Blue team.  Team scores will be kept.

            Fans are invited to attend the meet both days and are encouraged to bring a toy for the McNeese athletic department's toys for tots drive.  There is no admission charge.

            Members of the Gold team will be Donovan Anderson, Jared Crafton, Ben Chretien, Michael Dyer, Matt Fontenot, Edwin Koenck, Justin Landry, Cale Lemaire, Torian Lindsey, Jim Marcantel, Daniel Menard, Jordan Neil, Ryan Thmason, Michael Washington, Tinette Burger, Amy Guinn, Amber Kelly, Laura Kerr, Erin Kleckley, Paige Lynch, Amber Moore, Lashantena Rounds, Allyson Sanner, Frankii Taylor, Carly Thurman and Ashleigh Wells.

            Making up the Blue team will be Lance Ardoin, Chris Avery, Ryan Barrow, Sam Bowwers, Thomas Canchola, Wiley Collins, Mark Fallaize, Charles Jackson, Jonathan Koenck, Jacob Latiolais, Kevin Laughlin, Jarrett LeBlanc, Kenneth Pierce, Napoleon Robicheaux, Ronald Stine, Sam Vidrine, Alvy Carragher, Aisling Casey, Alyssa Cotton, Racheal Easton, Kayla Fontenot, Amanda Lejeune, Emily Lewis, Candice McCormick, Kara Slaydon, Ashlee Smith and Meraiah Young.

            Distance runners Joshua Sawe and David Rooney will not compete as they will be leaving Saturday for the NCAA cross country championship meet in Terre Haute, IN.
