LAKE CHARLES – McNeese football will have a new home for radio broadcasts this season as 92.9 The Lake will be the new home for Cowboys' football.
 
In addition to airing all 11 football games on 92.9 The Lake, McNeese fans in the Lafayette area will be able to pick up the broadcasts on The Gator 960 AM.
 
The Cowboys open the season on Saturday at LSU with a 6:39 p.m. kickoff.
 
In previous years, McNeese aired its games on Gator 99.5. Townsquare Media owns and operates all three stations.
 
Tom Hoefer will continue to handle the play-by-play duties for football games with Johnny Suydam as the analyst. Ron Hayes will be giving sideline updates while Richard Dow will conduct interviews in the pregame show to round out the four-man broadcast team.
 
Games will be streamed online at 929TheLake.com and on talkradio960.com as well as being available on mobile devices using the Radio Pup app.
 
Men's and women's basketball games will continue to air on Cajun Radio 1470 and 1290 AM.
