Jack Gates

Jack Gates joined the baseball coaching staff in the fall of 2023 as the Director of Player Development and Analytics after playing for the Cowboys prior.

Gates helped the Cowboys to reach the 2024 Southland Conference Baseball Championship Game in his current position. He played for the Pokes from 2019-20 under head coach Justin Hill. While on the 2019 squad, he was a part of the Southland Conference Tournament Championship Team that went to the NCAA Nashville Regional to face Indiana St. and Ohio St.

He played baseball at Barbe High School and was a two-year starter.
