Trent Ivy was announced as an assistant coach for the McNeese soccer program by Head Coach Alexsis Cable on Jan. 9, 2026.
Ivy joined the Cowgirls after spending time with Sting Soccer Club in Austin, Texas, where he served as the Director of College Placement and Goalkeeper Coach. In those roles, he worked with student-athletes on their collegiate recruitment while also developing and training goalkeepers.
Prior to his time with Sting Soccer Club, Ivy spent time with Lonestar Soccer Club, serving in a variety of roles including College Placement Assistant, Goalkeeper Coach and Social Media Specialist.
Ivy began his collegiate coaching career at Hardin-Simmons University, where he served as a graduate assistant. His responsibilities included working with the program's goalkeepers while also serving as a social media specialist, assisting with the team's marketing and digital efforts.
A 2021 graduate of Hardin-Simmons, Ivy earned his degree in Business Administration after a successful playing career with the Cowboys men's soccer program. As a goalkeeper, he was a two-time team captain and served on the team's leadership committee for three seasons. Ivy also earned multiple American Southwest Conference honors during his playing career.
